Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Service Technician based in the South East US. The position will be remote wtih regular travel to client sites. Compensation is $85 - $90K/yr plus full travel expenses.

This position is well suited for a hands-on field professional with strong knowledge of electrical and control systems, capable of operating independently while maintaining a high standard of organization and professionalism.
The individual in this role will work directly with customers both on-site and remotely, while also contributing to the development and expansion of service operations in the United States. This role offers a clear pathway into future leadership within the service organization.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities Commissioning & Installation
- Execute commissioning of explosion protection systems at customer locations
- Verify system configuration, functionality, and compliance with technical specifications
- Assist with installation tasks as needed
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues both in the field and remotely
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and PLC-based control systems
- Deliver technical support to customers through:
- On-site service visits
- Remote communication (phone and digital channels)
- Serve as a reliable technical point of contact
- Create and maintain accurate documentation including:
- Service reports
- Commissioning records
- Maintenance logs
- Ensure documentation is completed clearly, promptly, and professionally
- Provide required documentation to support internal workflows and billing processes
- Prepare for service assignments by:
- Reviewing technical materials
- Confirming availability of tools, parts, and resources
- Coordinate and manage travel logistics independently (flights, hotels, rental cars)
- Organize schedules and prioritize service activities effectively
- Contribute to the advancement of service processes and standards within the U.S.
- Share field insights with engineering and product teams to support improvements
- Support efforts to build a scalable and efficient service organization
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field service technician in industrial settings
- Strong experience working with:
- Electrical systems
- Control systems and PLCs (diagnostics and integration)
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- P&IDs and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience commissioning and troubleshooting complex systems
- Familiarity with industrial safety systems is preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills, especially in documentation and reporting
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset
- Professional and effective communication skills in customer-facing environments
Languages
- English (required)
- Spanish (preferred, particularly for work in Mexico)
Travel & Availability
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout:
- United States
- Canada
- Mexico
- Travel expectations: approximately 50–80% depending on workload
- Flexibility to accommodate:
- Weekend work
- Short-notice assignments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally required
