Job Description
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer 2 – CMM Programmer. The work will be done onsite in Lafayette, Indiana. This is a 12-month long-term position with strong potential for permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $42/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
The Quality/Test Engineer will support manufacturing and supplier quality by developing and maintaining CMM inspection programs for machined components. This role translates engineering drawings and 3D CAD models into inspection routines while supporting production, APQP/PPAP activities, and quality investigations. Advanced PC-DMIS programming with formal Hexagon training is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, debug, and maintain PC-DMIS CMM inspection programs.
• Create inspection routines from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Analyze inspection data and support production and supplier quality.
• Troubleshoot quality issues and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain inspection documentation and support metrology activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or an Associate's degree with equivalent hands-on experience.
• PC-DMIS Level 3 programming experience with formal Hexagon PC-DMIS training (required).
• Strong GD&T knowledge and experience inspecting machined components.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, or supplier quality.
• Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Zeiss Calypso, or PolyWorks.
