Job Description
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite in Peoria, IL. This is a long-term 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $34/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a Quality/Test Engineer to support product health management and technical issue resolution for a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. This role will serve as a key point of contact for dealer technical support teams, providing troubleshooting assistance, failure analysis, and repair recommendations to restore equipment functionality. The engineer will collaborate with product support groups, investigate technical issues, document findings, and drive service requests through resolution. This position offers broad exposure to machine systems, product support operations, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform initial triage and investigation of product health events and technical service requests
• Analyze product issues, conduct failure analysis, and coordinate resolution activities with engineering and support teams
• Document incident details, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions for future reference and data analysis
• Collaborate with internal product groups and dealer support personnel to provide timely technical solutions
• Manage service requests from intake through closure while ensuring high levels of customer and dealer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on mechanical/product experience
• 2–4 years of product support, technical troubleshooting, quality, testing, service engineering, or related experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on machine or equipment experience
• Experience performing technical investigations, root cause analysis, or failure analysis
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and engineering specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers, dealers, and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting heavy equipment, industrial machinery, engines, power systems, or related products
• Familiarity with technical support processes, product health monitoring, and service request management systems
• Experience working in dealer support, field service, quality, testing, validation, or product support environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency when addressing equipment performance issues
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and product support organizations
