Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer III in Franklin, WI. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $139,200/yr + bonus and stock contribution.

In this role, you will contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on the reliability and resilience of electrical infrastructure. You will play a key part in advancing solutions that support a more dependable and adaptable power grid. This position offers the opportunity to work within a well-established organization while still having a direct influence on outcomes, processes, and continuous improvement efforts.
Hours
8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri) On-Site (Franklin, WI)
Compensation
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The estimated annual base salary for this position is up to $139,200. Individual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as experience, performance, skills, and education. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive plan, subject to eligibility requirements.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer III plays a critical role in driving quality improvements across manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance product reliability, improve processes, and reduce defects. Acting as a bridge between quality and manufacturing teams, this role ensures alignment and execution of quality-focused objectives.
The Quality organization supports internal stakeholders by delivering services such as quality planning, inspections, audits, data analysis, continuous improvement consulting, and communication. The goal is to enable teams to consistently deliver high-quality products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Improvement Projects
Lead and execute initiatives focused on resolving manufacturing quality challenges and improving operational performance.
Data Analysis and Decision Making
Evaluate production and quality data to identify trends, develop corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness.
Problem Solving
Support and contribute to complex problem-solving efforts related to manufacturing quality issues.
Customer Issue Resolution
Drive containment and resolution of customer-related quality issues by implementing corrective actions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence.
Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Reduction
Identify and reduce costs associated with poor quality by leading root cause analysis, coordinating containment actions such as production holds, and implementing sustainable solutions.
Documentation and Standards Review
Review technical drawings and acceptance criteria to ensure accuracy, address defects, and manage deviation processes to maintain quality standards.
Process Optimization
Continuously improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce variability.
Quality Support and Collaboration
Provide advanced quality support to production teams, lead resolution of complex issues, and apply structured problem-solving methodologies to prevent future defects.
Metrics and Continuous Improvement
Leverage quality metrics and feedback to identify opportunities for product and process enhancements.
Team Development
Support and mentor other quality engineers, promoting best practices and a culture of continuous learning.
Industry Awareness
Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies and integrate relevant advancements into quality practices.
Compliance
Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Participate in meetings as required
Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and stakeholders
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
5–7 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing, preferably in the electrical or a related industry
Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
Proven success leading large-scale quality improvement initiatives
Demonstrated ability to solve complex quality issues and implement process improvements
Experience with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001
Proficiency in quality tools, analytics, and performance metrics
Skills and Competencies
Strong project management capabilities in dynamic environments
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and analytical thinking
Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel and experience with Power BI
Preferred
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Work Environment
Occasional work in both office and manufacturing environments, including non-climate-controlled areas
Infrequent exposure to fumes, dust, noise, or hazardous conditions
Occasional exposure to machinery, equipment, and varying noise levels
Infrequent work near energized equipment or moving machinery
