Logistics Engineer (91426-1)
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Logistics Engineer. The work will be done onsite full-time in Champaign, IL. This is a long-term position (24 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $40/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a Logistics Engineer to support warehouse automation implementation and post go-live stabilization within a large-scale logistics operation. This role focuses on improving material flow, production efficiency, and operational performance through automation and process optimization. The engineer will work across the full lifecycle of automation projects, including design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement. This position offers hands-on exposure to advanced warehouse technologies, cross-functional collaboration, and real-time problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support warehouse automation design, implementation, and stabilization efforts
• Analyze workflows, production methods, and material handling processes to improve efficiency
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure quality and reliability standards
• Lead cross-functional meetings and coordinate with vendors to resolve operational issues
• Develop reports, charts, and process documentation to support decision-making and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial engineering environments
• Experience with warehouse automation, logistics process design, or material flow optimization
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD or similar) and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting automation systems such as AS/RS, robotics, or AMRs
• Experience with project management, contractor coordination, and capital execution
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools and advanced drafting capabilities
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments
