Cybersecurity Engineer 5 (93564-1)
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer 5. The work will be done onsite in Peoria, IL, Tucson, AZ, or Dallas, TX. This is a long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $102/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer 5 will support security engineering, compliance, and governance activities across cloud and product environments. This role focuses on implementing secure development practices, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards such as ISO and IEC frameworks. The engineer will work closely with development, product, and quality teams to drive security compliance, support audits, and enhance secure DevOps processes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of automated governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions while improving overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
• Support security compliance programs across products, platforms, and cloud environments
• Implement and maintain secure development lifecycle practices and DevOps security integration
• Conduct vulnerability management activities using SAST, DAST, and SCA tools
• Prepare and maintain audit evidence for internal, external, and customer security assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, track remediation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, product security, or compliance environments
• Experience with secure development lifecycle practices and vulnerability management tools
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, and secure application frameworks (OWASP, MITRE)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GWAPT, or AWS Security certifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with ServiceNow GRC or vulnerability management tools
• Experience with automation, scripting, or process optimization
