Overview
Reporting to the Interim Applications Department Lead, the Project Manager is tasked with managing all aspects of a project lifecycle, from initiation to completion. This role ensures project objectives are met on time, within budget, and adheres to quality standards, while serving as the key contact for clients throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from initiation through completion, including planning schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external resources to ensure projects align with defined scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting scope, schedule, or budget as needed to meet project requirements.
- Maintain client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing any changes.
- Report project outcomes, risks, and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Assist customers in coordinating the layout and installation of purchased equipment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive business relationships with clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Licensing/Certifications
- Valid driver’s license with no more than two (2) points on driving record within the last three (3) years.
Tools and Equipment
- Utilizes general office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, and fax machines.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach, stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
- Requires specific visual abilities, including close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Mental Requirements
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, mathematical reasoning, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based, with occasional work in manufacturing environments.
- Travel (approximately 10%) is required, both local and out-of-state.
Reporting Line
- Reports to the Interim Applications Department Lead.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field or Business Administration, or equivalent experience/military training.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in project management, with preferred experience in CNC tube bending or manufacturing automation.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management software.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Experience with capital equipment sales, project management in manufacturing/automation, and familiarity with 2D/3D CAD software.
- Fluency in Italian and/or Spanish is a plus but not required.
