Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Manager of Business Development - Process Safety, in Louisiana or Texas. The work will be done 100% remotely with up to 50% travel. Compensation is up to $150K/yr + bonus. 

 

Our customer is a global engineering company that provides safety and measurement solutions for industrial applications.

 

Job Title: Manager of Business Development – Process Safety

 Location: Remote (Texas or Louisiana preferred)

 Travel: As needed for client visits, conferences, and industry events

We are seeking a driven and strategic Manager of Business Development to lead growth initiatives in the Process Safety sector, with an initial focus on rupture disc technologies. This position is centered in Texas and Louisiana, with additional opportunities to expand into other regions of the U.S. The role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, consultative sales, and relationship-building skills to develop new business and support existing customers in the industrial space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead business development efforts within the Process Safety market, identifying and qualifying prospects through networking, outreach, referrals, trade shows, and other channels.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, customer meetings, proposals, negotiations, closing, and post-sale follow-up including support coordination and relationship management.
  • Build long-term relationships with OEMs, operators, EPC firms, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop a strategic plan to expand market share in rupture disc technologies and identify cross-selling opportunities in related areas such as explosion protection and flow metering.
  • Contribute market insight and customer feedback to technical and leadership teams for product and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate activity records, forecasts, and reports through CRM and other internal systems.
  • Represent the company at relevant conferences, industry meetings, and trade events.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and marketing teams to deliver custom solutions and refine messaging and positioning.
  • Support and coordinate with regional sales representatives, where applicable.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; background in engineering, technical sales, or related industrial field is a plus.
  • 3–5+ years of business development or territory sales experience in technical or industrial markets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business decision-makers.
  • Comfortable navigating industrial facilities and engaging in technical solution sales.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment.

Work Environment:
  • Home office with frequent regional travel by car and plane
  • Manufacturing and plant site visits required
  • Tools and resources provided (laptop, phone, CRM access)
